Wandering, Black-browed and Light-mantled sooty albatross photos from the Subantarctic islands of Falkland Islands and South Georgia Island.

These large seabirds range widely in the Southern Ocean. Of the 21 species of albatrosses are 19 threatened with extinction.

Bay of Isles used to have two islands open to visit the colonies of breeding wandering albatrosses. Albatross island is now closed and only the small colony at Prion Island is open forvisiting tourists.
Wandering Albatross is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) list .
