Black-browed albatross. Steeple Jason Island, Falkland Islands.

Looking at you, kid.

Coming in for landing (with feet out to slow down).

The Black-browed Albatross (Thalassarche melanophrys) is a medium-sized albatross, at 80-95 cm (32-38 in) long with a 200-235 cm (79-93 in) wingspan. Over 70% of the global population of Black-browed Albatross breeds in the Falkland Islands. It is on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, mostly because of long line fishing after tuna, which kills about 5% of the population every year.
